Offsite Courses

Do you come out and train on-site for 5 people?

We can come out and train for 5 people, however you will be charged for 10, as we only charge for a minimum of 10 people.

Spotters

How often do you have to refresh you Spotters ticket?

It is recommended that you refresh your spotters ticket every 3 years.

What happens if I do the Spotters course and then receive my ticket off Energy Safe Victoria (ESV), but then later on I get more qualifications?

Easy! Just send us a copy of your updated qualifications and we will amend your details on ESV database. You will then be issued with an updated card.

What do you need to act as a Spotter?

  1. A current First Aid certificate, which includes a current CPR qualification
  2. A copy of any qualifications that you may have, in which you can spot for. These may include:
    • Advanced Rigging
    • Backhoe
    • Basic Rigging
    • Concrete Placing Booms
    • Crane Chaser
    • Cranes – Bridge and Gantry
    • Cranes – Derrick
    • Cranes – Mobile Slewing (Open/Over 100T or up to 100T or up to 20T or up to 60T)
    • Cranes – Non Slewing or Portal Boom or Tower
    • Dogging
    • Drilling Rig
    • Elevated Work Platform (above or below 11m)
    • Excavator
    • Forklift
    • Front end Loader
    • Intermediate Rigger
    • Skid Steer Loader
    • Tipping Trucks
    • Vehicle Loading Crane (Greater or Less than 10m/T)

What happens if I dont have any of the prerequisites to act as a Spotter but I have done the course?

Thats ok. You will then have 6 months to get your First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and any qualification tickets to us, in which we can then upload.

First Aid

How long does my First Aid and CPR certificate last for?

You have to be 12 years or older. If you are between 12 and 16 there are restrictions that will be placed on your licence.

Marine Safety

How old do you have to be to do the Boat Course?

Thats ok. You will then have 6 months to get your First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and any qualification tickets to us, in which we can then upload.

Can you come to our house to do a Boat Course?

Unfortunately we can only run the course from our training centres.

How long does my certificate last for?

Your certificate is valid for 6 months once completing the course. Therefore, you have six months (from the date you did the course) to take your certificate to VicRoads.

Once I do your course, do I have to do another course at VicRoads?

No. Once you complete our course and do your certificate, you only have to go to VicRoads to pay for your licence fees.

Do you need ID for the Boat Course?

Yes! You need photo ID for the course, a licence would be perfect! If you do not have photo ID you will need two of the following:

  • Medicare Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport

Operator Qualification Cards

Do you do the training at your premises?

The only training we do at our premises is Forklift Training. If you need any other training, we can only come to you as we do not have the machinery to test you on.

Do I need to study prior to getting my licence?

Yes. To assist you in studying we do sell “Easy Guide” books. These are $30.00 each and are very helpful in assisting with the study. We also provide “Learner Guides” in which are free of charge and can be found on our website. The “Learner Guides” aren’t as helpful as the “Easy Guides”, however they will give you the basic information.

How long does it take to get my card?

Generally, once the paperwork hits the office it will be out to you via express mail the next day. The longest time to wait would be 3-4 week days.

Payment of Course

How are we able to pay?

You can pay by Eftpos, Direct Bank Deposit, Cash, Money Order or Cheque.

Do I have to pay prior to the course or can I pay on the day?

You are most welcome to pay on the day, however if you are paying by Cash and are at Caroline Springs, you must have the correct money.
