Construction Induction (Formerly Red Card)
21883VIC Course in Construction (OH&S) InductionAs of 1st July, this new course meets the requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2007 for the registration of workers on construction sites to be registered. It also meets the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for construction work (ASCC 2006). WorkSafe Victoria regulations deem completion of nationally recognised training as mandatory.
Information for existing holders of OH&S Induction (Red Card)
A previously obtained 'Red Card' will remain valid after 1st July 2008. All persons who are holders of a Red Card issued prior to July 1, 2008 will be deemed to be registered to WorkSafe and will not require a new card. There is no requirement to transfer to the Construction Induction card - both cards are recognised under the OHS Regulations 2007.

Proof of Booking for Construction Induction
Attendance at this course must be within a 28 day period of booking and payment of course fees. A Proof of Booking letter is a formal letter or receipt setting out the training to be delivered by Gascoigne Training & Assessment Pty Ltd (GTA) and serves as documentary proof that you have committed to undertake this training. It is a requirement that you carry this letter with you whilst working on site until attendance at the course.

Course Outcome
On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment until WorkSafe issue the nationally recognised Construction Induction card. You can expect to receive this card 3-4 weeks after attendance at the course.
